Hola amigos! Yesterday, I helped change the tire on my dad's old truck. The tire was REALLY flat. we couldn't figure out why though. First, we found the spare tire from under the car. We took it off and put a jack under the car to lift it up. I tried turning the lever to lift the car up from the jack, but it was a lot of work and my arms got tired very soon. Once the car was high enough, we unscrewed the nuts on the old tire. My dad took it off and rolled it into the garage. Then, we fit the spare tire into the holes where the nuts will go on a car. We screwed the nuts on and the tire was all set! We lowered the car to the ground again, and put all the supplies back into the compartment in the back of the car. It got really hot really soon.
This morning, we carried the tire out of the garage and lifted it into the back and went to a tire shop. They fixed the flat tire, but they couldn't find the source of its flatness either. They took the spare off and put the normal tire back on again. We drove off without a problem.
Well, now I know how to change a tire! Unfortunately, every car is different, so I will probably have to go over the manuals to figure everything out. The spare tire was kind of ugly because it was all black. It didn't quite fit in with the other guys. This picture isn't my tire, but it will give you a perspective on what a spare tire looks like if you haven't seen one. Blog ya later!
